About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE 2) to join our team of innovators and play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements, and are aligned with the company's overall technology strategy.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet customer needs.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring that all solutions are of high quality, maintainable, and follow best practices and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, using debugging tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and API documentation.
• Work with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software applications, and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new tools, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our software development processes and practices.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles and develop their skills.
• Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure, and containerization using Docker.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with testing frameworks, such as JUnit or PyUnit, and continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins or Travis CI.
• Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including secure coding, authentication, and authorization.

Nice to Have

• Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence, and knowledge of frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, or Grafana, and experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
