We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our clinical team and provide high-quality therapeutic services to clients in various stages of recovery.
Position Summary
The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling services to clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The LPC conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, maintains clinical documentation, and collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure exceptional client care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations.
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
Identify client strengths, needs, barriers, and recovery goals.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support positive treatment outcomes.
Counseling & Therapeutic Services
Provide individual counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health stabilization, and personal growth.
Facilitate process groups, psychoeducational groups, relapse prevention groups, and family therapy sessions.
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and recovery support systems.
Support clients through crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions when necessary.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state licensing requirements, payer standards, and organizational policies.
Participate in chart audits and quality assurance activities.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards established by licensing boards and professional organizations.
Collaboration & Case Management
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other clinical professionals to coordinate care.
Assist with discharge planning and continuing care recommendations.
Communicate effectively with referral sources, family members, and community partners when appropriate and authorized.
Professional Development
Maintain active professional licensure and continuing education requirements.
Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and training programs.
Stay informed on current best practices in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and trauma-informed care.
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of practice.
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical counseling experience.
Knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Preferred
Experience working in substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment, detoxification, PHP, IOP, or outpatient settings.
Experience treating co-occurring mental health disorders.
Training in trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, or other evidence-based approaches.
Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and behavioral healthcare accreditation standards.
