**Financial Accounting Manager**

**About the Opportunity**

We’re partnering with a cutting-edge technology organization to hire a **Financial Accounting Manager** who will play a critical role in building and scaling accounting operations. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to drive financial accuracy, compliance, and process improvements.

**What You’ll Do**

- Lead and manage the **monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes**
- Oversee **general ledger accounting**, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with **U.S. GAAP** and internal accounting policies
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership to support business decisions
- Drive improvements in **accounting systems, processes, and controls**
- Support **external audits** and coordinate with auditors
- Assist with **technical accounting research** and implementation
- Develop and mentor accounting staff as the team grows

**What We're Looking For**

- Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting or Finance** (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in **Big 4 or national public accounting and/or public company environment** preferred
- Strong knowledge of **U.S. GAAP and financial reporting**
- Experience in a **fast-paced or high-growth environment**
- Industry exposure to **aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing** is a plus
- Experience with **ERP systems (NetSuite or similar)**
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
